Adam, In your closing comments to this episode included your response to a note from another listener who commented on how he thought Sgt. Grecco was beginning to realize that the best way to solve a case was to follow Rocky. I found the question ironic as this episode included an example that was pure Grecco- he is sent to fetch Rocky and refuses to listen when Rocky tells him that a Person Of Interest (i.e., the secretary) was getting away.
In the follow-on conversation between Rocky and Captain Sabaya, Sabaya says that Rocky should not be hard on Grecco as the latter was only doing what he was told. This brings up an interesting point, is Grecco a bad policeman on his own or because Sam Sabaya is holding him back by creating an environment of mindless obedience and not encouraging initiative?
