The Rex Saunders intro began, and in my head I heard the words “Out of the fog, out of the night, and into his American adventures…”
Actually, I’ve noticed before how many of these shows use the same incidental music and sometimes even title songs. I suspect that a network would own a few pieces of music and use them on all of their shows. Apparently, this happened on television: yesterday morning I heard background music on a rerun of HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL that I’ve heard many times on PERRY MASON.
I spoke too soon. The sound effects in this show belonged to BULLDOG DRUMMOND, but the music was straight out of NERO WOLFE.
