I love listening to Johnny Dollar, but unlike most of the listeners whose comments you read, he’s only my second-favourite detective. For his integrity and intelligence, Phillip Marlowe is my number one.
And among the actors who portrayed the man with the action-packed expense account, Edmond O’Brien is my favourite, though others seem to prefer Bob Bailey.
Regardless of the show or the actors involved, I want to thank you, Adam Graham, for creating this podcast. I discovered you last October, and it took me until March to listen to every episode, eight or ten a day while in my office. The quality of my work may have suffered, but who cares? I was entertained.
The shows you choose to broadcast and the regularity and dependability of your productions are all first rate, but you don’t stop there. It would be very easy for someone to re-broadcast old radio show, to try to profit from work done by others, but you go beyond that. Your research, commentary, and insight into these shows add greatly to what I gain by listening.
And I’ve even come to love the way you say “de-tay-ctive.” You do good work here, sir, and I hope you keep it up for a long time.
