I agree that the beginning was a little off – why would he be hired to protect himself? The middle was so great that I was able to suspend my disbelief and enjoy the episode – until the end. Johnny acting as a defense lawyer on the stand was very strange, especially when he made up the elevator man! While my only qualification is being an avid Law & Order fan, I can’t believe he wouldn’t have been charged with perjury for lying on the stand! It was still a fun episode though, just very different from regular Johnny Dollar.
I thought you’d slipped in a Pat Novak episode. Our hero gets knocked out, wakes up next to a dead body and a recently fired gun and is wanted by the police for murder. All you need is Raymond Burr. Oh, wait, he’s there too.
