Hi Adam,
As you said I thought this one had a good twist, but the ending does come across as a little shocking by today’s standards. Did I understand correctly that her husband beat his wife so badly that he thought he killed her and he got off without any charges? I would be interested to hear from a legal perspective how something like that would work.
Also, did they introduce some of the doubts of her sanity earlier in the episode as misdirection or was it to remove some of the husband’s culpability in her suicide? I mean given that she killed herself right after the beating it would seem like the two are related but I didn’t know if they were trying to imply she had broader mental issues.
Keep up the great work!
Mike
