Peter Chambers was a private eye who appeared in a series of 30 novels by Harry Kane between 1947-72. The character came to radio in 1954 with Dane Clark in the title role and Bill Zuckert as his friend Lieutenant Louie Parker.
The series was one of a string of series including Nero Wolfe, Mr. IA Moto, and Rocky Fortune that only lasted for six months.
Star Biography:
Dane Clark (1912-98): Dane Clark enjoyed a long and varied career in radio, television, and film. He played the role of Slade Shannon in the TV version of Bold Venture and had the role of Lieutenant Tragg in the new Perry Mason, as well as a long string of guest starring roles on programs ranging from Rawhide to Highway to Heaven, and Murder She Wrote.
