Theatre Guild on the Air’s 1950 production of State Fair offers a gentle, nostalgic journey into the heart of Midwestern life, carried by the warmth of its performances and the shimmer of remembered summers. The Frake family—father Abel, mother Melissa (Gene and Kathleen Lockhart), and their nearly grown children Margie (June Lockhart) and Wayne (Dick Van Patten)—travel to the Iowa State Fair seeking ribbons, excitement, and perhaps just a touch of wonder beyond their everyday routines.

This episode is played in honor of the recent passing of June Lockhart.

Batman Villains of Old Time Radio
