Meh. Its great to have a program from Chicago with all of the famous Chicago voices (Pierre Andre, Myron Wallace, Bob Elson). Its just a bit sad that it isn’t a bit better. My first reaction is that this is a luke-warm retread of Blackstone, the magic detective. This, however, is wrong as Flamond aired two years before Blackstone… so I guess, if anything, Blackstone borrowed from it.

I can’t really put my finger on exactly what doesn’t work. I know it has to do with the script. Is it the use of too many tropes? Is it the pacing? Is it the condescending tone? Its certainly not as formulaic as something out the Hummert group or from Philips Lord, but it is formulaic and just is missing something.
