I’ve even one more to add. Goldberg consistently (through all but the very most recent novels) gets Julie’s age wrong. He seems to be using what I assume was the actress’s age when she started out in the role (perhaps using a character bible?), and forgets that we’re looking at Monk from at least a few years later than that.
